Information Gathering Skills

Identify

• This is an active skill that allows the user to closely examine the stats and abilities of crafted items, magic items, and consumables. You may also Identify the Class, Level, Species, and Active Skill when Identify is leveled up.

Analyze

• This is an active Skill that allows the user to closely examine materials and rare items. It primarily works to determine the crafting potential of base materials, but can also give some insight into completed projects as well as details of how those projects are meant to work as the skill levels. The ability to discern materials and structure increases with Skill Level.

Appraise

• This is an active Skill that allows the user to determine the name as well as the value of an item or material. This skill may target held or worn items, as well as magical beasts or automata to determine the value of their components. As this skill levels, the details of the item's stats and abilities grow.

Inspect

• This is an active Skill that allows the user to determine basic info as well as the status effects and weaknesses or strengths of an item or creature. As this skill levels, the details and depth of information about the target grows.

Insight

• This is an activated passive Skill that allows the user to engage in conversation or observation of a subject, or interaction with a magical item or other strange phenomenon, that when completed can reveal Intuitive Hunches about motivation, method, or means of a target subject, item, or phenomenon. A full Insight takes 10 minutes to complete, a partial Insight can be done in half that time. A minor insight may be gained with 30-60 seconds interaction time and a challenging check result using Perception and Insight.
